A global financial services leader is seeking an experienced Senior Manager in Financial Crime, specializing in Digital Assets and Currencies. The role entails providing financial crime risk stewardship, advising on compliance, and ensuring effective management of FC risks. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks, strong leadership skills, and proven experience in the financial services industry. We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager in Financial Crime (FC), CIB Digital Assets & Currencies. You would be responsible for providing financial crime risk stewardship across customers, products and geographies related to Digital Assets and Currencies. The Financial Crime (FC) Function acts as the Second Line of Defense (LOD), comprising Risk Stewards independent of the Groups commercial risk-taking activities (First LOD or FLOD). The FC Function implements critical controls using intelligence, analytics, technology, detection, and investigation. Risk Stewards review and challenge FLOD activities to ensure effective management of FC risks, including fraud, money laundering, bribery, sanctions violations, terrorist financing, proliferation financing, export control violations, and tax evasion. The FC Function adheres to HSBC Groups Risk Management Framework (RMF). As a Risk Steward you are responsible for reviewing and challenging all the activities of the first line of defence (FLOD) to ensure that, as Risk Owners, they effectively manage the FC risk inherent in, or arising from, the conduct of their activities and for which they are responsible.
The base location for this role is London with a hybrid working pattern.
