Job summary

FRP Advisory is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager/Director of Restructuring Advisory for our Teesside office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate restructuring advisory services, with extensive experience in a professional services environment.

The focus of the role is formal corporate restructuring appointments, contingency planning engagements and options analysis. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing restructuring

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in restructuring advisory.
  • ACA/ACCA qualification preferred but not required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage restructuring assignments from inception to completion.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as first point of contact.
  • Oversee case reviews and prepare reports for partner review.
  • Develop strategic recommendations and present to clients.
  • Lead and mentor the restructuring advisory team in Teesside.
  • Support business development and cross-office collaboration.

Role overview

FRP Advisory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager/Director of Restructuring Advisory for our expanding Teesside office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate restructuring advisory services, with extensive experience in a professional services environment. The focus of the role is formal corporate restructuring appointments, contingency planning engagements and options analysis. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing restructuring assignments and providing exceptional client service. The candidate will need to be a confident report writer and team manager focussed on case progression and maximising the outcome for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Restructuring Advisory Services:

  • Lead and manage restructuring assignments from inception to completion, specifically focussing on CVLs, Administrations, MVLs, Corporate Simplification and CVAs including advisory assignments
  • Build and sustain excellent relationships with clients, establishing both a rapport and trust and assume ownership of client relationships
  • Be a first point of client contact
  • Dealing with formal assignments from pre-appointment advice to delivering the formal restructuring process with the case management team
  • Experience of delivering mid-market assignments, with ability to quickly understand complex group structures and situations, prioritising key issues and delivering insightful analysis and recommendations
  • Oversee case reviews and report writing for partner review
  • Review work of junior team members in conjunction with manager/senior manager review (where relevant) and providing guidance and close supervision in more complex areas or where team is less experienced
  • Develop and present strategic recommendations to clients
Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
  • Take a lead in business development to enhance FRP’s profile in restructuring advisory matters
  • Advise clients on restructuring options including corporate simplification
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex financial and structural challenges
  • Involvement in FRP’s client service program
  • Actively cultivate a wide network of professionals and corporates from which to generate leads and client work
  • Act as a representative of the firm and department at events
  • Track record of work winning preferred but not essential
Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor the restructuring advisory team in Teesside
  • Collaborate with other FRP pillars and offices to leverage expertise and resources
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations
Qualifications
  • JIEB.CII qualified
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in restructuring advisory
  • ACA/ACCA qualified is preferential, but not a requirement
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
