Job summary

Maven Partners seeks an experienced Senior Manager – Data to lead the enterprise data strategy for a leading financial services organisation. Based in Guernsey or Jersey, reporting to the CIO, this senior role shapes data as a strategic asset and drives data-led decision making across the business.

You will establish enterprise-wide data governance, oversee data warehousing and analytics capabilities, and chair the Data Governance Committee, while influencing C-suite stakeholders and ensuring

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics and automation to improve customer outcomes, operational effectiveness and business performance.
• Lead the development and enhancement of enterprise data capabilities.
• Establish and maintain an effective enterprise-wide data governance framework.
• Lead the Data Governance Committee.
• Drive improvements in data quality, controls and master data management.
• Oversee data warehouse, ETL, reporting, analytics and visualisation capabilities.
• Ensure data platforms are secure, resilient, scalable and aligned with wider technology strategy.
• Develop and enhance management information, business intelligence and analytics capabilities.
• Ensure regulatory data is managed and reported accurately and in line with applicable requirements.
• Provide assurance to senior leadership, committees, auditors and regulators regarding data governance, controls and management.
• Support compliance with applicable data protection legislation and industry standards.
• Build strong relationships with executive and senior stakeholders, influencing and communicating effectively at C-suite level.
• Manage key third-party suppliers and partners supporting data services.
• Support the CIO in shaping and delivering the wider Technology, Digital and Data strategy.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this is a senior leadership role responsible for establishing data as a strategic asset across the organisation, driving data-led decision making, strengthening data governance and quality, and ensuring data capabilities support both business and regulatory requirements. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in a senior Data leadership role within a complex and regulated environment, ideally financial services
• Experience working with modern technology environments, including cloud platforms and service management
• Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with operational delivery and execution
• Experience leading and developing high-performing Data teams
• Strong experience working with C-suite and senior executive stakeholders
• Demonstrable track record of improving data quality, governance, controls and regulatory reporting
