Senior Manager - Customer Operations (B2B Order Management)

Location: Leeds (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Salary: Competitive + 20% Bonus

Pod Talent are excited to be working with a leading global scale-up business on a brand-new Senior Manager – Sales Operations & Order Management opportunity, based in Leeds. This is a key leadership role that will have a real impact on optimising the order-to-cash process across major retail accounts, working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative environment. Key Responsibilities for the position of Senior Manager – Sales Operations & Order Management:

  • Lead 3 Team Leaders and a wider team to deliver a smooth and efficient order-to-cash process across UK and EU retail accounts.
  • Own the end-to-end order lifecycle, including order creation, shipment, and processing, ensuring on-time delivery performance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (IT, Sales, Supply Chain) to resolve operational issues and drive system improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyse key metrics (On-Time delivery, Chargebacks, Penalties) to continuously improve customer experience and operational performance.
  • Identify and implement cost optimisation and efficiency initiatives to enhance revenue, reduce workload, and accelerate speed to market.
  • Manage retailer compliance processes, including handling chargebacks and working proactively to minimise retailer penalties.
  • Lead and support system enhancements, process testing, and new technology rollouts to drive efficiency and effectiveness across operations.

Skills & Experience Needed for the position of Senior Manager – Sales Operations & Order Management:

  • Strong leadership experience managing teams within order management, logistics, or retail operations.
  • Proven background working across the full order-to-cash cycle, with knowledge of EDI processes, order processing systems, and supply/demand collaboration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of using KPIs to drive process improvements.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-moving, high-growth business.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments.
  • Experience working on retailer optimisation initiatives would be a strong advantage.
