The role: Senior Manager-Cash Oversight (reports to Group Head of Ops), We are seeking a diligent and proactive Cash Oversight Manager to join our client’s reinsurance Operations team. This is a new senior Global position, with responsibility for the Global Cash team (via three direct Team Leader reports), created to enable the continued successful scale and growth of the company and Cash department.

This is a highly strategic role with a key focus on participating in projects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and reporting requirements in an increasingly complex reinsurance environment.

The successful hire will have close interaction across multiple areas of the business including the Operations teams, Finance, Claims, and Underwriting teams, as well as externally with brokers/clients therefore we are seeking an engaging and highly collaborative person and people manager with the gravitas to operate at all levels both internally and externally and who is comfortable presenting at a senior level.

You will have an aptitude for data analysis and the preparation and presentation of board level reporting, a good working knowledge of SOX controls, and experience or strong ability of implementing or improving policies and procedures in relation to credit control.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Leadership and engagement with Cash Team Managers: work closely with the Cash team managers and wider team to ensure accurate and timely cash flow management and reconciliation (overdue Premium Management, Manage Accounts Receivables and Payables, Cash in Suspense Management).
• Credit Control policies.
• Data Analytics Oversight: oversee all data analytics including analysing premium collection. patterns, identifying trends in overdue accounts, and using data-driven insights to improve collection strategies.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support decision-making.
• Reporting: prepare and present regular detailed reports to senior management, highlighting KPIs, SLAs, metrics and trends on the status of outstanding premiums, overdue accounts, and collection activities.
• Broker Engagement, Client Management, multiple internal departments and stakeholders.
• Training: management of global reinsurance processing training, leading delivery by working closely with all managers.
• Process Improvement.
• Controls and Risk Management (SOX).

Role requirements:

• Min 5 years + experience in successful credit control management-strong knowledge of accounts receivables, accounts payable, and cash in suspense management in an Insurance or Reinsurance environment.
• Proven track record of reducing and maintaining outstanding accounts receivable and payable through dynamic engagement with external parties, including brokers and cedants, and internal teams such as Operations and Claims and of course the Cash team.
• Strong knowledge and oversight of controls (SOX)
