Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Senior Manager, Business Development (Concerts, Events and Match Breaks). You will be responsible for maximising sales revenue across Concerts, Events, and Football Match Breaks. Supporting the Director, Venue Sales and Account Management with all commercial aspects, including recruitment, negotiation, sales, and key P&L responsibilities within these areas.

What will you be doing?
Concerts and Events
  • Support the Director, Venue Sales and Account Management with the recruitment of concerts and major events to Anfield.
  • Manage existing and develop new LFC and other commercial events at Anfield or other locations.
  • Project manage all commercial aspects of concerts and events, supporting key development projects to meet deadlines and KPIs.
  • Act as the main promoter liaison for the club's commercial areas, serving as the primary contact between LFC departments and promoters.
  • Assist in managing the P&L within budget for all events and match breaks.
  • Manage secondary revenue streams such as advertising and merchandising to generate additional income.
  • Oversee venue pre-sales, on-sales, and ongoing sales, producing reports for departments and promoters.
  • Conduct regular sales and competitor analysis.
  • Manage internal stakeholder relationships for LFC commercial events and support related departments like Ticketing, Hospitality, and Operations.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments post-sale to ensure smooth execution, including ticketing, hospitality, marketing, VIP, customer experience, events, legal, and finance.
  • Support internal sales and marketing strategies, including ticketing and hospitality systems.
Match Breaks and Agents
  • Manage daily requirements with match break partners, including match day procedures.
  • Develop relationships with key match break partners.
  • Handle recruitment and renewal processes with match break partners.
  • Implement transparent tender processes to build a trusted agent network and maximize revenue.
  • Establish profitable relationships with suppliers in the UK and overseas to maximize yield.
  • Develop a compliance framework for agents using club IP and assets to prevent misuse.
Who are we looking for?

Successful candidates will have proven experience in a senior commercial role within entertainment and/or sport, with strong industry awareness of concerts and major events. Experience working with concerts, knowledge of hospitality and events, and familiarity with football match breaks are essential. The candidate should possess negotiation skills, financial acumen, and leadership experience. Knowledge of ticketing systems like SeatGeek and Salesforce, along with excellent presentation skills, is required.
