AI Startups UK is seeking a Senior Manager (Private Equity) to oversee a portfolio of PE AI projects, including due diligence, value creation, and internal AI use cases.

You will be the senior contact for clients and Faculty teams, driving delivery, viability, and strong relationships. This entrepreneurial role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing proposals, and leading cross-functional teams with structured thinking.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering rapid AI due diligence, commercial/tech due diligence, or growth strategy projects within PE/M&A/transaction advisory.
• Highly skilled at communicating trade-offs directly to PE deal partners and executives.
• Deep understanding of AI unit economics, data moats, and cost structures in B2B software.
• Experience as an equity analyst or equivalent applying investment rigor to AI strategy for PE clients.
• Technology delivery experience from consulting, tech, or data-focused backgrounds.
• Ability to structure problems and define solutions that improve client workflows.
• Capability to identify and develop new business opportunities within accounts and for external growth.
• Comfort with ambiguity and pricing/commercial structuring.

Responsabilités

• Lead high-velocity buy-side and sell-side AI due diligence engagements under tight deadlines.
• Conduct market scans and AI maturity benchmarking against peers and new entrants.
• Identify AI disintermediation risks and business-model disruption threats.
• Direct cross-functional teams to assess data, IP, and architecture defensibility versus frontier AI.
• Drive business development with PE sponsors and deal leads.
• Advise clients on AI strategy and demonstrate tangible value across contexts.
• Lead project meetings with clear purpose and direction to teams and clients.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigating actions to ensure success.
• Mentor team members and align responsibilities with growth.
