Job summary

DPD Group UK is seeking a Senior Management Accountant for a maternity-cover role in Smethwick, England. You will oversee weekly and monthly financial reporting, support the Senior Finance Manager, and mentor the team while ensuring robust internal controls.

The role requires a fully qualified accountant and post-qualification experience, with strong Excel and forecasting skills. You will lead budgeting and be involved in audits and balance sheet reviews.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA and post-qualification experience.
• At least 12 months post-qualification practical experience.
• 2:1 degree and GCSE Maths/English (C or above).
• Strong grasp of management accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekly and monthly financial reporting deliveries.
• Support the Senior Finance Manager and mentor team members.
• Assist with year-end audit process and pack preparation.
• Own month-end reporting controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Lead the annual budgeting process with the Senior Finance Manager.
• Review and sign-off balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain strong internal controls and policy compliance.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across finance.
