Michael Page is seeking an Accountant for a client in Wigan to manage day-to-day financial operations within the Manufacturing industry, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, support audits and drive process improvements while collaborating across teams. Hybrid working after six months with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication and collaboration across teams.
• Proactive in identifying and solving financial issues.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Produce financial forecasts and reports to assist in strategic planning.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial performance and cost control.
• Oversee month-end and year-end processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to queries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions where appropriate.
• Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks.
