Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Senior Management Accountant - Engineering to lead a finance team in Gloucester. You will produce monthly management accounts, deliver insights to drive profitability and support governance.

The role requires ACCA/CIMA qualifications with 5+ years’ management accounting experience and 2+ years’ people leadership. Advanced Excel skills and SAP/Sage 200 knowledge are advantageous. 40-hour week, on-site role in Gloucester.

Qualifications

• ACCA or CIMA qualified with a minimum of five years' management accounting experience within industry.
• Minimum of two years' people management experience with the ability to lead and develop a team.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical, organisational and communication abilities; knowledge of SAP and/or Sage 200 would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
• Take ownership of the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Analyse business performance, including revenue, margins, costs and operational KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide financial insight and support informed decision-making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, audit activities and Group reporting requirements.
