Senior Management Accountant

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to take the lead on managing an existing team, in a role that offers variety, with operational and management accounting responsibilities. The role involves financial reporting, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement within a collaborative environment.

As Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate accounting, reporting, and budgeting of the Group’s operating costs. You will lead a team of four, overseeing prepayments, payroll journals, fixed assets, IFRS 16 postings, and intercompany transactions. Your duties include reviewing monthly management accounts, maintaining financial controls, and process improvements.

You will work with cost centre owners on budgets and performance, and serve as a trusted partner to internal and external stakeholders, including auditors. Your responsibilities also include oversight of the purchase ledger, ensuring vendor payments, reconciliations, and VAT compliance.

To succeed, you need:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with team management experience and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
• A mindset open to change, curiosity, and commitment to personal and team development.
