Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant for a charity based in Bristol. You will lead the central finance function, delivering accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and insightful MI.

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong management accounting experience.
• Experience in producing management accounts and financial reporting.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage a team.
• Excellent analytical, systems and business partnering skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead the month-end close process and ensure accurate management accounts are produced on time.
• Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet and oversee key ledgers including sales, purchases, cashbook, fixed assets and general ledger.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports with meaningful analysis and insight.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with stakeholders across the business.
• Partner with budget holders to review performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support informed decision-making.
• Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting, automation and data analysis and reporting.
• Support statutory audits and ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE and financial regulations.
• Manage payment runs, expenses processes and working capital controls.
• Lead and develop the Management Accounting team, providing coaching and performance support.
• Contribute to strategic projects and organisational change initiatives

This newly created role as a Senior Management Accountant has been created for a fantastic charity based in Bristol.

Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to lead a central finance function and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, robust financial controls, and insightful management information. Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll support strategic decision-making while driving continuous improvement across finance systems, processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process and ensure accurate management accounts are produced on time.

Profile

A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:

• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to financial management ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified


• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.


• Proven leadership and team management capability.


• Excellent analytical, systems and business partnering skills.


• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Job Offer

• A salary up to £55,000


• Hybrid working model offering flexibility. 2 days a week in the office
