Senior Management Accountant

The postholder will be a qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA), responsible for delivering high-quality management accounting work, including analyzing financial information, preparing financial reports, and assisting non-finance colleagues in understanding financial principles and procedures. They will collaborate closely with Finance Business Partners to provide financial advice and facilitate the organization’s internal operations and service delivery, ensuring that the Associate Director of Finance and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis have accurate, up-to-date information for timely decision-making.

Main duties of the job

The main duties include:

  • Managing the Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountants, and Level 7 Apprentice.
  • Developing and overseeing the management accounts month-end timetable and monitoring budgets.
  • Producing detailed monthly finance and performance reports with forecasts.
  • Building and maintaining effective, collaborative relationships within the Institute and with stakeholders.
