University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Senior Management Accountant for a 2-year fixed term in the R&D finance team. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the R&D finance team to join as a Senior Management Accountant (2-year fixed term) to support and provide sound financial management services to the UK DTN. This role offers valuable experience in R&D Finance through secondment. The UK DTN is funded by the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and sponsored by DHSC. Nearly £50 million was awarded to UCLH to enhance capacity in early-phase clinical trials in Dementia across the UK. The UK DTN aims to make early-phase Dementia trials accessible nationwide by establishing at least 20 UK DTN member sites across all four nations.

For full details, refer to the attached Job Description. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong Excel proficiency, and NHS finance knowledge, capable of managing intricate financial arrangements with NHS and non-NHS organizations.
This role is supported by an Assistant Management Accountant and reports to the Senior Finance Manager, working with various budget holders within UCLH.
Qualifications: Studying towards or qualified in CCAB. Proficiency in Excel and Word.
Experience: Costing principles, management accounting, financial reporting, and contract negotiations. Desirable: knowledge of NCVR, SoECAT, iCT.
Skills: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; ability to prioritize and communicate effectively; flexible and proactive problem-solving approach; experience with financial calculations and multi-disciplinary teams. Desirable: report writing, influencing skills, staff management, and training abilities.
