Job summary

Macildowie Recruitment and Retention is seeking a Senior Management Accountant for a growing professional services business based in Leicester. This hybrid, permanent role focuses on management information, client relationships and outsourced finance solutions.

You will manage a portfolio of clients, producing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and financial projections while collaborating with a broader finance team to drive business improvements.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within accounting and bookkeeping.
• Strong experience using finance software and Excel.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
• Producing financial commentary and analysis to support business decisions.
• Preparing cash flow forecasts, budgets and financial projections.
• Reviewing accounting records and processing period-end adjustments.
• Posting journals including payroll, depreciation and accruals.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Supporting bookkeeping activities where required.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Supporting wider business improvement and systems projects.
