Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd in Exeter is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a 40-strong mechanical and electrical maintenance team across four sites and join the senior management team of a growing engineering business.

You will oversee reactive maintenance, drive preventative and predictive maintenance, and work to improve reliability while managing budgets and promoting health and safety. Data-driven appraisals will be conducted for the department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role in maintenance/engineering.
• Experience leading 40+ staff with maintenance/engineering oversight.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 40 Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technicians and Team Leaders.
• Co-ordinate reactive maintenance across 4 sites.
• Develop maintenance team to support the business.
• Improve maintenance efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining equipment reliability.
• Identify end of life equipment and justify replacement via capital approval.
• Improve plant reliability and reduce scrap.
• Ensure data-driven annual appraisals for department members.
• Promote health and safety across the site.
• Maintain 100% compliance in internal audits (critical EHS categories) weekly.
• Manage maintenance metrics internally and externally.
