Job summary

Greencore Group at Bo'ness is seeking a Maintenance Section Manager to lead an engineering and operations team responsible for maintaining and optimizing food processing and packaging assets. You’ll manage planned, predictive and reactive maintenance and drive continuous improvement projects.

The role requires a strong electrical bias, hands‑on knowledge of mechanical systems, CMMS proficiency, and proven leadership to manage budgets, spares, and contractor performance on site.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent) and an engineering apprenticeship.
• Food Safety Level 2 and IOSH Managing Safely qualifications.
• Multi‑skilled engineer with strong electrical bias and hands‑on experience across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with maintenance planning, budget management, spare parts control and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and manage maintenance work on food and drink processing and packaging assets.
• Conduct planned, predictive and reactive maintenance and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead machinery changeovers and setups and resolve faults across electrical, instrumentation and pneumatic systems.
• Support audits and contribute to safety and environmental compliance.
• Develop the team’s technical competence and manage tools and equipment availability.
