Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-discipline engineering role is essential.
• Knowledge of hygiene and health and safety requirements is required.
• Understanding of planned preventative maintenance systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance for head of engineering.
• Assist in repair, modifications and improvements to company assets.
• Identify and analyze problems before crises occur.

Skills

NVQ Level 3 or higher in mechanical and electrical engineering

Demonstrable experience in a multi-discipline engineering role

Working knowledge of BRC standards and customer codes of practice

Knowledge and understanding of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

Working knowledge of planned preventative maintenance systems

Working knowledge and use of CMMS system

CIEH Level 3 Food Safety for Manufacturing

HACCP, TACCP and GMP qualification

IOSHH qualification

Competent in working with PLC systems

Sound fault-finding ability

Experience with heavy mechanical machinery

Good written and oral communication skills

Ability to use initiative and work autonomously

Education
