Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to lead IMS and Datacom services in a zMainframe environment. You will deliver technical direction, support upgrades, and ensure secure, resilient platforms across Manchester or Edinburgh with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Extensive background as an IMS Systems Programmer in a z/OS Mainframe setting.
• Experience installing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining IMS and Datacom products.
• Experience supporting large-scale production environments.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills and incident management experience.
• Knowledge of mainframe operational practices, change and service management processes.
• Experience in highly regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
• Effective communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Delivering technical direction for IMS and Datacom within the zMainframe environment.
• Crafting and improving infrastructure services aligned to Group standards and architectural principles.
• Ensuring systems are secure, available, resilient and performant against SLAs.
• Supporting infrastructure projects, upgrades and technology refreshes from planning to implementation.
• Investigating incidents, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
• Participating in on-call rota and providing out-of-hours support when required.
• Collaborating across infrastructure, engineering, architecture and application teams.
• Pursuing automation and continuous improvement across the platform.
