What will I be doing:

You will join the dedicated R&D teams in Cambridge that create and improve the products behind the company’s rapid growth. Our software engineers work on a wide variety of projects and with a diverse toolset.

As a senior engineer within the macOS cSensor team, you will be focused on producing software designed to be deployed directly onto customer devices to improve Darktrace's security coverage of devices outside the corporate network.

This is a hybrid role, and the expectation would be to work at least 2 days a week in the Cambridge office.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to rapid prototyping of new and innovative ideas to further improve Darktrace’s services and offerings.
• Improving on core software modules written in C++.
• Working with various component technologies and applications (e.g., content filters).

What experience do I need:

We welcome applications from engineers with a solution-focused mindset, analytical approach, and problem-solving skills. During the interview process, you’ll demonstrate your ability to program in C++ and Swift, and show an understanding of writing code in a production environment. Additionally, you’ll likely have:

• Experience with writing and deploying software on macOS devices.
• Experience working as a senior member of a small team.
• Experience with macOS system extensions.
• Understanding of Endpoint Detection Systems.
