Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Machine Setter/Senior Machine Setter for an established food manufacturing operation in the Stevenage area. The role focuses on setting up and adjusting machinery, executing changeovers efficiently and ensuring safe, reliable production.

The senior position may offer team leadership opportunities and progression within the production team, with structured training and exposure to modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach to operating and setting machinery (production).
• Strong attention to detail, quality and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork in a factory environment.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
• Experience as Machine Setter/Operator is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate production machinery.
• Carry out product changeovers efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify faults and make adjustments.
• Complete routine equipment checks and basic maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow safety, hygiene and quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and production targets.
