Responsibilities and Requirements

We seek versatile Senior Machine Learning Scientists skilled in model training, research, dataset construction, and model hardening for production. Your day-to-day tasks include:

• Collaborating with subject matter experts and product owners to define questions and data needs.
• Curating, generating, annotating data, and creating datasets responsibly.
• Answering questions and preparing datasets using SQL and scripting languages.
• Developing, tuning, and optimizing Machine Learning models, including language models.
• Staying current with research, experimenting with new architectures, and sharing insights.
• Communicating findings and limitations effectively.
• Writing clean, modular, well-documented code with automated tests.

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with text data and Deep Learning/ML models, including supervised and unsupervised learning. Bonus for vision and speech modalities.
• Strong understanding of ML and deep learning theory and math.
• At least 8 years of software engineering experience using Python, SQL, Unix, git, etc.
• Skills in experiment tracking tools like AWS SageMaker, Hugging Face, PyTorch, etc.
• Experience with Language Models, training, fine-tuning, and familiarity with industry-standard LM families.
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI, or related fields, with relevant industry experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; fluent English.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in production-level coding, back-end API services, or libraries.
• DevOps skills with Docker, AWS services.
• Building front-end demos or prototypes with React, Javascript, Flask.
• Experience with advanced prompting, fine-tuning LLMs, and open-source platforms.
• Showcasing previous work (websites, open source).
