Job summary

Maxwell Bond is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for a 12-month FTC in West London. The role combines hands-on model development, scalable ML pipelines and production deployment in a hybrid setup (2 days on site).

You’ll work across the full ML lifecycle, from data handling to monitoring and iteration. Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of ML engineering, strong TensorFlow experience and production-grade pipeline skills, with solid Python proficiency and MLOps know-how.

Senior Machine Learning Engineer

£60,000 | 12-month FTC | West London | Hybrid – 2 days onsite

An opportunity for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to build, deploy and operate production-grade machine learning systems at scale.

This is a hands‑on ML Engineering role rather than a GenAI‑focused position. You'll work across the full machine learning lifecycle, from model development and training through to pipelines, deployment, serving, monitoring and ongoing optimisation.

The role

• Designing, training and optimising machine learning models using TensorFlow
• Building and maintaining scalable ML pipelines using TFX
• Deploying and serving models within production environments
• Monitoring and maintaining ML systems to ensure reliability and performance
• Working with large‑scale structured and unstructured datasets
• Contributing to experimentation and continuous model improvement
• Collaborating with engineering, data and product teams to deliver ML solutions that solve real business problems

Your experience

• 4+ years of relevant, hands‑on Machine Learning Engineering experience
• Strong commercial experience with TensorFlow
• Hands‑on experience with TFX (TensorFlow Extended) and production ML pipelines
• Experience taking ML models from development through to production deploymentStrong understanding of MLOps, model serving, monitoring and maintenance
• Experience building scalable ML systems in production environments
• Strong Python skills

Experience with recommendation systems, personalisation, ranking algorithms or high‑volume/real‑time data would be beneficial, but isn't essential.

Experience with TensorFlow Serving, Triton, TorchServe, Scala or production GenAI applications would also be advantageous.

UK experience isn't essential

Previous UK experience isn't required. Applications are welcome from experienced Machine Learning Engineers who have built their careers internationally and are now looking to establish or continue their career in the UK.

You must already have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the 12-month contract, as sponsorship isn't available for this position.
