Job summary

Conrad Consulting is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor for a long-term, permanent role on a major project in Aberdeen. You will manage commercial and contractual aspects of M&E works, work with project and site teams, and ensure cost effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes Valuations, variations and payments, with a strong focus on cost control and risk management within mechanical and electrical packages.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as an M&E Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical contracts and construction processes.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and variations.
• Good commercial awareness and cost management skills.
• The ability to work effectively with project, operational and site teams.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to resolving issues and supporting project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial and contractual processes associated with M&E works.
• Preparing, reviewing and agreeing valuations, variations and applications for payment.
• Monitoring project costs and supporting effective cost control.
• Managing subcontractor accounts and commercial performance.
• Working closely with project managers, operational teams and site personnel.
• Reviewing contract terms and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and potential cost implications.
• Supporting the successful delivery of the project through proactive commercial management.
