Job summary

NG Bailey Group is seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to lead multiple M&E projects in the Cambridge region. You will manage projects from initial survey through to handover, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and profitability.

You will oversee delivery plans, coordinate with clients, consultants and subcontractors, and lead all relevant RIBA stages. Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Industry-recognised trade or professional qualification.
• Proven experience managing multiple M&E projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, forms of contract and CDM regulations.
• Knowledge and practical application of RIBA project stages.
• Experience managing direct labour, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver profitable project outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management systems.
• Ability to prepare accurate reports, project documentation and tender submissions.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple M&E projects from survey to handover across varying sizes (£10k–£3m).
• Develop and oversee delivery plans to meet programme, budget and quality.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Lead projects through RIBA stages from brief to close out.
• Ensure SHEQ compliance and promote safety-first culture.
• Coordinate procurement, subcontractor appointments and project programmes.
• Review RAMS and ensure compliance with statutory/client requirements.
• Provide technical leadership across M&E disciplines as needed.
• Identify future opportunities and prepare competitive tenders and presentations.
