Job summary

Danny Sullivan & Sons Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its established M&E building services contracting team, a role with genuine commercial responsibility within a long-standing contractor renowned for quality and client relationships.

You will review drawings, specs and tender documents, prepare detailed M&E estimates and cost plans, undertake quantity take-offs, obtain supplier quotations and liaise with design and delivery teams to inform commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience within M&E, building services or related construction environment.
• Able to interpret technical information and cost implications.
• Commercially minded with ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Prepare detailed M&E estimates and cost plans.
• Undertaking quantity take-offs and pricing exercises.
• Obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Liaising with design and delivery teams.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Supporting value engineering and alternative proposals.
• Preparing tender returns and ensuring submissions are robust.
• Assisting with handover of secured work to the delivery team.
