Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Design Manager for Building Services (M&E) in Woking, Surrey. You will oversee the design and technical delivery of complex M&E/building services projects, coordinating internal teams and external consultants to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in M&E, and proven stakeholder management.

Qualifications

Proven senior design management experience in MEP/building services.
Strong knowledge of UK building regs and CDM implementing requirements.
Experience coordinating internal and external design teams and consultants.

Responsibilities

Lead the design process for complex M&E and Building Services projects from concept through to completion.
Coordinate internal engineering teams, external consultants, subcontractors and specialist design partners.
Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, design submissions and engineering documentation.
Ensure all designs comply with UK building regulations, CDM regulations and client specifications.
Work with Project Managers, Technical Managers and operations teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
Identify and resolve design risks, technical challenges and coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage design programmes, budgets and technical deliverables to ensure timely completion.
Lead design reviews, value engineering exercises and meetings with clients and stakeholders.
