Job summary

CPR Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction business in Sittingbourne, Kent.

The role focuses on commercial management of M&A packages across high-rise projects, with close collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and the project team. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in M&A, building services or high-rise construction, with strong procurement, valuations and final accounts

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, M&A Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Strong background in M&A, building services or high-rise construction
• Experience managing M&A subcontractor packages
• Strong understanding of procurement, valuations, variations, cost control and final accounts
• Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Relevant Quantity Surveying or construction-related qualification desirable
• Candidates from M&A subcontractor, main contractor or specialist building services backgrounds will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of M&A packages from procurement through to final account
• Prepare and manage subcontractor packages, valuations and payments
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations and financial performance
• Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Manage variations, valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients
• Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts
