Job summary

MCR Property Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for an exciting pre-construction and construction phase across three new build apartment blocks in Rochester. You will support the commercial management of a contractor-led residential project, focusing on cost control, procurement and commercial controls.

The role requires practical experience with residential new builds, interior projects and the ability to monitor costs, manage change, and provide accurate commercial information to project

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: HND in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum professional experience: 5+ years working with a contractor.
• Residential new build, high rise and apartment blocks experience.

Responsibilities

• Cost control: monitor project costs, commitments and expenditure against budgets.
• Valuations: prepare, review and agree valuations for work completed, including subcontractor valuations.
• Variations: identify, assess, price and manage changes to the works, maintaining records and approvals.
• Procurement: support the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers and work packages.
• Subcontractor management: administer commercial arrangements and review progress.
• Forecasting: maintain cost forecasts and identify impacts on outturn position.
• Commercial reporting: produce reports and provide timely commercial information.
