Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Senior Logistics Manager in the Didcot (Oxford) area to lead major project logistics, forecasting, and transport planning. The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, CCC experience, and a strong health and safety focus.

The successful candidate will develop material movement strategies, support project mobilisation, and drive sustainability initiatives across the logistics function for UK, Middle East and Australia projects.

Qualifications

• Experience creating major project logistics strategy documents and mobilisation plans.
• Forecasting, flow development and reporting for material movements.
• Development of freight profile, vehicle movements and delivery planning.
• People forecasting, data monitoring and reporting.
• Support in site utility demand profiling and project mobilisation.
• Knowledge of Construction Consolidation Centres (CCC) and related safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Create and implement logistics strategy for major projects.
• Lead materials forecasting, flow development and reporting.
• Plan and forecast transport movements (road, rail, shipping).
• Develop people forecasting and monitor data.
• Support site mobilisation and handover to operations.
• Utilise CCC knowledge and ensure safety/compliance guidelines.
• Engage stakeholders and communicate best practices to central team.
• Promote sustainability and continuous improvement in logistics.
