Eh Smith (builders Merchants) Ltd. is looking for a Senior Logistics Co-ordinator for their Olton branch. The position involves ensuring high standards of service for branch deliveries, supporting transport administration, and liaising with suppliers and customers.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and extensive knowledge of the construction industry. Responsibilities include routing depot vehicles, leading team briefings, and ensuring compliance with DVSA standards.

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Co‑ordinator has become available at our Olton branch reporting to the Branch Manager.

The Role

We require an enthusiastic individual who will have responsibility in all aspects of transport, transport administration, routing and branch administration procedures which will ensure the highest level of service for branch deliveries.

Person & Skills

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills as the role requires liaising closely with suppliers, customers and colleagues at all levels. Extensive Construction Industry knowledge is key along with a systematic and logical approach with a view to getting things right and achieving ultimate customer service satisfaction.

Key Tasks

• Ensure highest standard of service to the customer
• Support the Olton Branch Manager in all aspects of Transport, Transport Administration, Routing and Branch Administration procedures
• Routing all depot vehicles, including load building
• Ensure vehicles and cranes are maintained to correct standards
• Ensure vehicle Statutory Regulations are maintained and adhered to
• Booking services and MOTs for vehicles
• Production of daily routing sheets and records
• Health & Safety awareness and adherence
• Ordering Depot Fuel
• Ensure vehicle, driver and site compliance is in line with the DVSA standards
• Lead team briefings when required
