Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a proficient Band 7 Locum Sonographer to join our team in Surrey for a three-month contract. The role involves delivering expert ultrasound imaging across obstetric, abdominal, gynecological, and vascular cases, with detailed reporting under the lead radiologist.

You will be HCPC registered as a Radiographer/Sonographer, possess a postgraduate ultrasound qualification, and have extensive experience in diverse ultrasound procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold HCPC registration as Radiographer/Sonographer.
• Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound needed.
• Extensive experience across ultrasound procedures.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations (abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular).
• Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate reporting to support diagnosis.
• Prepare patients and conduct scans following clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Provide detailed reports to assist in patient management.
• Collaborate with the radiology team to maintain service delivery and contribute to department development.
• Produce reports under lead radiologist delegation within Obstetrics.
