Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a proficient Band 7 Locum Sonographer for a three-month contract in Slough. You will perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality reports under radiologist delegation, supporting obstetric and non-obstetric services.

HCPC registration, a postgraduate ultrasound qualification and extensive ultrasound experience are required, with the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to clinical demands.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as Radiographer/Sonographer.
• Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
• Extensive experience in a range of ultrasound procedures.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to patient care and high standards of practice.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying clinical demands.
• Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform abdominal, obstetric, gynecological and vascular ultrasound examinations.
• Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate reporting.
• Provide detailed reports to assist in patient diagnosis and management.
• Work with the healthcare team to support efficient service delivery.
• Contribute to ongoing development of the ultrasound department.
