Energy Aspects is seeking a Senior LNG Analyst to join our growing research team based in our London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced analyst with a passion for energy market research, excellent critical thinking, and technical skills, who can derive and defend price views based on supply-demand analysis. The company has been rapidly developing its reputation in the gas sector, and the new hire will be expected to continue building that reputation through thoughtful analysis and clear market views.

The role will play a central part in formulating the market views of our LNG service. Prior experience analysing the LNG market is essential. You will need to run and develop our econometric models and review the modelling work of colleagues. Strong written skills are required to communicate our views through reports, and the ability to effectively present to clients and media is also important.

This position requires flexibility and a drive to meet shared goals. All team members are encouraged to build their professional reputation within the industry and are supported by well-regarded energy sector commentators. Key Responsibilities

• Developing robust LNG import and export forecasts for Asia.
• Writing scheduled and ad hoc reports on the LNG market, focusing on supply-demand fundamentals, policy impacts, and price drivers.
• Presenting our views to clients through presentations, conferences, and email responses.
• Presenting our views to news organizations.

Requirements

• Experience analysing the LNG market and linking fundamentals analysis to price views.
• Experience developing and running econometric models.
• Excellent technical skills using Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• High proficiency in written English.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Fluency in Asian languages such as Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or Hindi.
• An established network of LNG industry contacts.
• Background in statistical analysis.
• Experience presenting at conferences and to the media.
