Job summary

CIH International Housing Group seeks an Independent Living Officer to support older adults in Lancaster, managing a dedicated scheme and helping tenants sustain their tenancies. The role focuses on wellbeing, independent living, and responsive service across approximately 65 properties and communal spaces.

You will be the main contact for tenants, guiding on housing, health, and social matters, while handling daily operations, emergencies, and records.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full driving licence and an enhanced DBS check.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver a high level of service.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for tenants, providing guidance on housing, health and social issues on-site and in tenants' homes.
• Manage daily scheme operations, respond to emergencies, and maintain accurate records.
• Provide cover for other schemes within Lancaster City Council and work independently as part of a dispersed team.
