Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator at the AVP level to maintain, modernize, and improve our distributed Linux infrastructure. The role spans open-source and in-house components, focusing on stability, security, and automation across a global environment.

You will lead on-call rotations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive reliability engineering initiatives while writing clear documentation and enforcing best practices in change and incident

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of enterprise Linux experience in large, distributed environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems, hardware, and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and on-call incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own, prioritize, and drive infrastructure work across global teams.
• Support, deploy, and troubleshoot large-scale production Linux environments.
• Contribute as an Infrastructure SRE with hands-on coding and automation.
• Participate in global on-call rotation for production issues.
• Collaborate with engineers and operations to deliver infrastructure improvements.
• Write and maintain clear documentation for systems and processes.
• Follow change, incident, and problem management practices.
