Job summary

TXP is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Linux for a 6-month contract in Milton Keynes. The role is hybrid (3 days onsite) with SC eligibility.

You will provide expert Linux support across enterprise platforms, ensuring stability, performance and security while contributing to development of Linux-based services. You will work with infrastructure specialists to resolve incidents, improve platform capability and maintain formal documentation in alignment with security and service

Qualifications

• Senior Linux infrastructure experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong Linux engineering, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Experience with secure, highly assured infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Linux SME providing expert technical support across enterprise Linux environments.
• Maintain stability, performance, security and reliability of Linux infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex Linux issues and incidents.
• Build/maintain Linux development environments.
• Support containerisation of applications and services.
• Support modern deployment approaches and automation.
• Collaborate with wider teams to deliver platform improvements.
• Maintain robust operational and technical documentation.
• Participate in environment development and optimisation discussions.
• Apply automation to improve infrastructure efficiency and repeatability.
• Work within service management and security frameworks.
