Job summary

TXP is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Linux for a 6-month contract in Milton Keynes. The role is hybrid (3 days onsite) with SC eligibility.

You will provide expert Linux support across enterprise platforms, ensuring stability, performance and security while contributing to development of Linux-based services. You will work with infrastructure specialists to resolve incidents, improve platform capability and maintain formal documentation in alignment with security and service

Contract: 6 months

Rate: £565 per day

Location: Milton Keynes - hybrid, 3 days per week onsite

Clearance: SC eligibility required, with the opportunity to undergo SC clearance vetting

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Linux SME to support a major Central Government programme.

You will provide expert support across enterprise Linux platforms operating within a secure and assured infrastructure, with responsibility for system stability, performance, security, troubleshooting and the ongoing development of Linux-based services.

Working closely with other infrastructure specialists, you will help resolve incidents, improve platform capability and maintain robust operational documentation within formal service management and security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Desirable Certifications

• RHCSA - Red Hat Certified System Administrator
• RHCE - Red Hat Certified Engineer
• LFCS - Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator
• LPIC-1 or LPIC-2 - Linux Professional Institute Certification

Additional Information

This is a hybrid contract role, with Milton Keynes as the contracted location and an expectation to work onsite 3 days per week.

Candidates must be eligible for SC clearance. There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to undergo SC clearance vetting as part of the engagement.

£565 per day | 6 months | Central Government | Milton Keynes
