Job summary

LinuxRecruit in London is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and operate core systems across hypervisors, VMs, containers and bare-metal environments. You’ll build out automation, monitoring and tooling to keep systems scalable, secure and reliable.

You should be proficient in Linux/Unix, with scripting in Bash or Python, and comfortable with Windows environments, virtualization, containers and orchestration platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux/Unix administration with scripting in Bash or Python.
• Experience with virtualization, containers and orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Hands-on with configuration management tools (Ansible or Puppet).

Responsibilities

• Design, deployment and ongoing operation of core infrastructure systems.
• Maintain a mix of hypervisors, VMs, containers and bare-metal environments.
• Build automation, monitoring and tooling to scale, secure and reliable systems.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure robust infrastructure for data-heavy workloads.
