Job summary

LA International is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to provide operating system support and maintenance for SUSE and Red Hat Linux servers, both physical and virtual. The role includes migration/transformation projects and may require out-of-hours work.

Location is work-from-home with some involvement in Telford. Ideal candidates will have strong Linux skills, shell scripting ability, experience across multi-platform UNIX/Linux estates, networking knowledge, and familiarity with cloud computing

Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
Ability to develop and maintain high-quality UNIX shell scripts.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting across multi-platform UNIX/Linux estates.
Understanding of Network technologies & cloud computing principles.

Responsibilities

Deliver operating system support and maintenance for SUSE & Red Hat Linux servers, both physical & virtual.
Perform migration/transformation projects, some out of hours.
