Job summary

ArtsEd, based in Greater London, seeks a Senior Lighting Technician to support the lighting design for productions. The role collaborates with lighting designers and reports to the Technical Production Manager, ensuring high-quality execution within available resources and approved guidelines.

The successful candidate will bring theatre lighting experience, strong knowledge of Ion consoles, LED fixtures and moving lights, and a proactive approach to rigging, maintenance, and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience as a lighting technician in a theatre, live performance, or drama school environment.
• Strong knowledge of lighting systems, including Ion consoles, LED fixtures, and moving lights.
• Experience with lighting rigging, maintenance, and equipment management.
• A good understanding of health and safety, including risk assessments.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• A collaborative approach and flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
