Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior lighting professional to lead projects from conception to construction, coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams and clients across the Lighting and Energy Solutions group.

You will apply your expertise in lighting design, regulations, and asset management to deliver high-quality proposals and deliverables, while mentoring junior staff and fostering industry relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience leading projects and teams; comfortable in a management role.
• Wide knowledge of external lighting and electrical design standards, guidance, legislation and regulations.
• Experience in lighting maintenance operations and asset management.
• Competency in lighting design from conception through to issue for construction using Lighting Reality, Dialux, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Lighting and Energy Solutions teams, multidisciplinary design teams, stakeholders and clients.
• Coordinate detailed design layouts and engineering drawings to QA and client requirements.
• Prepare feasibility reports, optioneering reports and specifications.
• Develop project proposals and monitor progress against milestones and budget.
• Engage with Local Authority and Strategic Road Network clients and build relationships.
• Support delivery teams and mentor junior members of the team.
• Represent WSP in the lighting industry and drive business development.
