Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, a core part of Babcock International Group, seeks a Lifting Construction Manager at Hinkley Point C near Bridgwater, Somerset. You will own rigging and lifting operations across a major nuclear build, leading safety‑focused teams and driving performance.

This is a full‑time role based at Hinkley Point C with 37 hours per week, part of the MEH Alliance, offering development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience leading lifting/rigging on major construction projects.
• Senior leadership with large teams in high-pressure environments.
• Experience in highly regulated/high-hazard industries (nuclear/defence/infrastructure).
• Managing workforce performance and delivery targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead rigging and lifting teams through superintendents and drive performance.
• Drive productivity, attendance, and standards across the workforce.
• Own 16-week lookahead planning for lifting activities.
• Forecast labour requirements and align resources to programme.
• Promote nuclear safety culture through leadership and inspections.
