Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, a core part of Babcock International Group, is seeking a Lifting Construction Manager for the Hinkley Point C project in Somerset. You will lead lifting operations across a major new build, owning rigging, planning and safety culture to ensure on-time delivery in a multi-building environment.

The role is full-time (37 hours/week) at Hinkley Point C site, with senior leadership responsibilities and a strong focus on productivity, compliance and stakeholder collaboration across

Qualifications

• CPCS Blue Card and ECITB Appointed Person certification (TAP01) – essential.
• NVQ Level 3 in Steel Erecting or Moving Loads – desirable.
• IOSH, SMSTS or SSSTS safety qualifications – desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leading rigging and lifting teams through superintendents, driving performance and accountability.
• Driving productivity, attendance, and working standards across the workforce.
• Owning forward planning, including 16‑week lookahead schedules for lifting activities.
• Forecasting labour requirements and aligning resources to programme delivery.
• Promoting a strong nuclear safety culture through leadership, inspections, and compliance.
