Job summary

GLL are recruiting a Senior Lifeguard to join our team at Lisnasarragh Leisure Centre in Belfast. You will oversee a team of lifeguards, mentor staff, and ensure safety and cleanliness of the pool environment.

The role requires a can-do attitude, excellent customer service, health and safety knowledge, and up-to-date NPLQ training. You will rotate pools, set up equipment, and provide first-class service to customers while supporting your team daily.

As aSenior Lifeguard,you’lloversee a team of lifeguards, acting as a mentor and role model, andbe responsible forsome staff training.Senior Lifeguardshave real attention to detail asyou’llbe ensuring the safety of our customers as well as the cleanliness of the pool environment.Senior Lifeguardsare responsible forthe maintenance and preparation of areas and equipment asappropriate, soyou’llneed to be hard working and have a conscientious attitude. Excellent communication and social skills are necessary asyou’lloften be the first point of contact for customers. Health and safetyisparamount, therefore attendance at regular pool training sessions isa must.

What you’lldo:

• Supervise the lifeguard team.

• You will experience regular pool rotations.

• When not poolside, you will be a key support to your teamon a daily basisfrom preparing Studios, Gyms, or Sports Halls for various activities to the general cleaning and upkeep of the centre.

Hours of work will be negotiated with you in line with the needs of the service, flexible working may be possible, working from home is not possible in this role.
