RNLI is seeking a Station Technician/Senior Station Technician at Mallaig Lifeboat Station. The role focuses on ensuring the Severn Class All Weather lifeboat is in peak condition and the station runs smoothly day-to-day.

You will train volunteer crew, lead on safety and engage with the public about the station’s lifesaving work. Candidates should have engineering qualifications or time-served background, plus leadership aptitude and a proactive approach to development.

Qualifications

• NVQ L4/SVQ L5 in engineering or time served apprenticeship or strong engineering background.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor volunteers.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering.

Responsabilités

• Inspire and motivate the team; support development and training.
• Manage day-to-day station operations and records.
• Lead on Quality, Safety, Health and Environment at the station.
• Engage with the public about RNLI station work.
