Job summary

RNLI is seeking a Senior Station Technician at Fishguard Lifeboat Station. You will lead maintenance of the ALB and ensure the station runs smoothly day to day, while training volunteer crew to be ready for emergencies.

You will develop a culture of safety and engage with the community as an RNLI ambassador. A strong engineering background and willingness to respond to pager duties 24/7, with a valid driving licence, are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ L4/SVQ L5 in engineering or time‑served engineering apprenticeship or sound engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and motivate the team; conduct shore‑based training and develop crew members.
• Oversee day‑to‑day running of Fishguard Lifeboat Station; manage emails, records and work with the Operations Team.
• Lead on Quality, Safety, Health and Environment to foster a positive station culture.
• Engage with the public; build relationships with volunteers, supporters and RNLI staff; act as an RNLI ambassador.
