Job summary

PartnerRe seeks an experienced Senior Actuary to join Global Life Financial Solutions for Europe, Middle-East and Latin America regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of models assessing the underlying risk and development of the appropriate structure to meet clients needs.

The role will be based in London, Zurich, Paris or Dublin. The role provides exposure to a wide variety of products and innovative reinsurance solutions, and you will

Qualifications

• Strong actuarial background in pricing life and health insurance / reinsurance and familiar with accounting standards (e.g., USGAAP, IFRS17).
• Good knowledge of Solvency 2 is essential, including awareness of some of the issues faced by insurers.
• At least 8 years of relevant financial services industry experience.
• Experience in actuarial pricing and structuring bespoke reinsurance agreements will be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Develop, structure and market appropriate reinsurance solutions encompassing accounting, regulatory and economic risk-transfer aspects.
• Technical development of pricing tools to analyse risk and profitability of life reinsurance solutions.
• Contribute to the deal execution involving responding to RFPs, negotiating terms with clients and brokers, and prepare internal approval memos.
• Support the business development efforts prospecting/client visits promoting our solutions and tailoring to specific client objectives.
• Prepare and make internal and external presentations on life reinsurance topics as required.
