Qualifications

• Qualified actuary (FIA/FFA/FSA or equivalent) with several years’ post‑qualification experience.
• Strong understanding of Life & Health insurance markets, products, and trends.
• Proven mortality pricing experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of mortality risk, modelling, and analysis.
• Excellent grounding in relevant statistical and actuarial modelling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients’ pricing and reinsurance teams.
• Lead the development and management of Terms of Trade for UK & Ireland.
• Own the development of pricing assumptions.
• Lead pricing of traditional reinsurance tenders.
• Provide commercial insight and solutions on pricing and product development opportunities.
• Monitor mortality portfolio performance and deliver management reporting.

Skills

Qualified actuary (FIA/FFA/FSA or equivalent)

Strong understanding of Life & Health insurance markets

Mortality pricing experience

Knowledge of mortality risk and modelling

Experience with analytics tools (Python, R, Power BI)

Strong communication skills

Client-facing environment experience

Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
