Job description

A permanent opportunity to join our Consumer Products team in Hammersmith - bring your Beauty and Fashion experience to Disney!

This role is based 4 days a week in the office, with one day working from home.

The Senior Licensing Sales Manager is responsible for key commercial licensing partnerships with industry-leading EMEA retailers and suppliers.

Covering a wide portfolio of health & beauty categories, you will implement and execute long-term and fiscal year strategies to maximise each product category, reach all consumer demographics, and maximise sales and revenue.

Relationships are key to the success of this role, both internally and externally. You will actively manage and cultivate engagement, partnership, and joint business planning with these partners, negotiate contracts, and drive strategic growth in licensing sales for the EMEA business.

Apply creativity, commerciality, and expertise in relevant category product development. Utilize knowledge of digital, social, and bricks-and-mortar marketing, alongside key trends and consumer insights, to develop and execute succinct strategies across departments. Be agile to capitalize on opportunities and act swiftly to maximize business potential.

Areas of Responsibility

  1. Develop, set, and execute strategies for the Beauty category aligned with regional strategy, including plans for new business within sub-categories and franchises.
  2. Manage the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts, developing licensee objectives and initiatives to drive growth in collaboration with franchise, marketing, product development, and finance teams.
  3. Manage and cultivate relationships with licensees, fostering engagement and joint business planning with both new and existing partners.
  4. Evaluate the licensee base and implement optimization plans to ensure effective business management and support category growth.
  5. Negotiate contracts with licensees and distributors to maximize Disney royalty revenue, informing stakeholders at global, regional, and local levels.
  6. Collaborate with regional creative, product, franchise, and marketing teams to support product sales as required.
  7. Communicate the International Labour Standards (ILS) process, acting as the liaison between suppliers and TWDC ILS team.
  8. Identify, pitch, and secure new licensees to significantly enhance category growth.
  9. Build strong relationships with Disney market teams, providing updates and understanding local market needs, sharing best practices.
  10. Establish communication with US, LATAM, and APAC counterparts for ongoing collaboration on initiatives and joint licensees.

Skills Required

  • Background in buying, product development, merchandising, or commercial roles within fashion or health & beauty sales, with strong market contacts.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, lead change, and collaborate across departments to meet financial targets.
  • Data analysis skills to draw practical conclusions and implement recommendations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in other European languages is beneficial.
  • A good understanding of digital, social, and bricks-and-mortar marketing.
  • Strong commercial and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Influencing skills capable of achieving buy-in at all organization levels.
